Tention Free : Let’s talk a bit about your project and what is the secret behind your Tao network success ?
Bryce Weiner :
There are several very excellent projects attempting to implement blockchain technology for the music industry, but the Tao Network is the only project that is being publicly funded by artists and music enthusiasts. It’s not a private project or corporation, it’s a public utility to be operated in the public trust. This allows for us to act in the best interest of artists and of the music industry as a whole.
Tention Free : What are you working on now?
Bryce Weiner :
Right now we are in our primary fundraising efforts. Our minimum viable product is complete and we’re ready to launch when the crowd funding is complete.
Tention Free : How you can manage your blockchain project ?
Bryce Weiner :
Nobody has ever accomplished anything great without the help of lots of talented, experienced people working with them. The team we have assembled are the best of the music and blockchain industries. This project is being run not as a traditional tech startup, but more like a record label. This makes what we’re doing very accessible to those whom we serve.
Tention Free : What’s your Aim for your project ?
Bryce Weiner :
We want to establish a public utility that is suitable for the garage band and the signed artist. The Tao Network is designed to make the process of copyrighting, rights management, and royalties as simple as possible through the use of blockchain technology.
Tention Free : What the reason behind you think Tao Network will be best for Music industry?
Bryce Weiner :
The Tao Network creates an authenticity of content that hasn’t been possible before in the digital age. A creator establishes their identity and when they contribute to a creation their contribution is recorded in a permanent, immutable record.
Tention Free : Please tell our readers more about your website ?
Bryce Weiner :
Our website is geared towards the launch of our crowd funding efforts, but over the next few weeks we’ll be updating it to show the progress we’re already making in manifesting this project into a reality.
Tention Free : Do you set goals for yourself and how do you do that?
Bryce Weiner :
I don’t think it’s possible to know how far you’ve come if you don’t set goals and milestones for yourself. I keep a journal that I try to keep updated at least once a week where I highlight the things that happened. Reading through the entries over the course of this project lets me know exactly how far we’ve come and just how much further we have to go.
Tention Free : What motivates you to do your best work for your Tao Network ?
Bryce Weiner :
This technology is my passion. There’s a lot of hype surrounding it right now, but I want to see it used by people just living their lives. I want to see the promises of this technology fulfilled so it can begin to improve the lives of those people who use it. It’s my life’s work. It’s why I’m alive.
Tention Free : Do you have any advice for anyone wanting to be a professional musician as a career?
Bryce Weiner :
No dream is impossible. Nobody will ever convince you you’re wrong if you know in your heart and soul you have a good idea or something to say. Find your voice…find your passion… and follow it wherever it goes.
