Tention Free : Tell us a little bit about yourself. Your background, education etc. ??
My family didn’t have much money so for a long time I didn’t have a laptop or access to the expensive programs that you needed to mix and produce. But I was determined so I saved my money from doing odd jobs until I finally had enough to buy myself a refurbished laptop but the music programs were still very expensive. After a lot of research, I figured out how to crack the production programs I needed and downloaded them for free. After that I just studied the programs until I understood how they worked, I never attended music school or went to any courses. Years of practicing and dedication has led me to where I am now.
Tention Free : We been hearing a lot about you, we notice your starting to gain a lot of attention. How does it feel?
I’m a very introverted person and I normally do not like having a lot of attention on myself, which a big reason why I wear a mask. This way I can share my music with the world without being anxious about people looking at me. Keep the focus on the music.
Tention Free : Any upcoming projects ?
Yes! I’m very excited, I have a lot of unreleased tracks including a couple of collaborations with some very talented women. I’m going to be releasing a new track every couple of weeks this Summer. I’ve got a couple music videos in the works as well.
Tention Free : What has been one of the most exciting achievements of your career so far ?
When I received over one hundred thousand streams on my Eclipse mix on Soundcloud in just twenty-four hours. It was amazing seeing what a positive reaction it got in such a short period of time. I’m so grateful and I can’t wait to share more music with everyone.
Tention Free : What’s your goal in life you want to achieve next?
Playing mainstage at music festivals across the world alongside other female musicians. I also plan to throw my own music festivals that will benefit good causes for women, animals, the planet, etc..
Tention Free : What motivates you to do your best work ?
I’m motivated by the very small percentage of women in this industry. I noticed that almost all the big DJs and producers were male and most of them have huge ego’s. Women are always accused of using their looks to get ahead so I’m going to show these guys that women can be successful producers too while staying anonymous.
Tention Free : Did you choose this industry, as a career, or as a hobby?
Definitely a career, producing one track can take months so you need to be able to dedicate that time to the music. However, I don’t intend on using my music as a way to make money. I play for peace, meaning I will play at an event for a good cause or a good company for free because I love what I do and I want to promote peace.
Tention Free : Everybody needs time out. What do you do in your free time?
I am a huge introvert, so when I take time off I like to stay at home, order food, watch Netflix and cuddle with my cats. I also paint most of my own masks so when I have spare time it’s very relaxing to just listen to music and paint.
Tention Free : How can people find you and follow you online?
You can find my music on iTunes, Apple Music, Spotify, YouTube, SoundCloud, Deezer, Google Play, Amazon Music and more. All my social media accounts ( Instagram, Twitter, Snapchat, Facebook ) are @roguesinner420. You can also find my website at roguesinner.org
