Tention Free : Tell us what got you into business development and started you on the path of entrepreneurship??
Well, for me, growing up my mother had her own businesses. she went from her beauty salon to an empowerment and then into housekeeping, so I grew up helping her run her business as I got older. It got to a point where I found a passion in music and being around my mother and her networking events I didn’t want to just go into the work force I wanted to own my creativity but at the same time I wanted to be able to help others build their dreams. So at 14 I decided to study business and started my 1st company X-tra Flo Records. Some years later I did another which was the X.F Divas, it got easier, later I sold those companies and started helping other people build their businesses and developing marketing campaigns for them. I went on to start another company and then i did X.F Empire and just designed that around business development and marketing and just been building for me and others ever since. Reacquired my 1st two companies and just been running with it.
Tention Free : We been hearing a lot about you, so we notice your starting to gain a lot of attention how does it feel?
To me I’m not into any of it for the attention, it’s more so the ability to provide quality services to not just my partners or the people in work with but to their customer base as well. I’ve always been strong on the notations that you can change anything from the outside.
Tention Free : Any new upcoming business ventures?
Always, I typically execute my ventures in phases, so I just recently launched the Hustlenomics101.info business blog and have a few more things on the way but nothing I can disclose at the moment. Just know there is some big things on the way.
Tention Free : What has been one of the most exciting achievements of your career so far ?
The most exciting I think is some of the upcoming ventures, I enjoy the building phase and get extremely excited by the results. But thus far, it would have to been my time volunteering and being able to donate to the schools. Seeing the kids face and excitement was the most rewarding feeling I’ve ever experienced.
Tention Free : What’s your goal in life you want to achieve next?
I just want to help making the world a happier place, a place of quality and leave behind a legacy and a world for my kids and others alike to be able to enjoy and not endure the hardships and crazy life issues I’ve had to experience growing up.
Tention Free : What motivates you to do your best work?
My motivation is driven by simple things like my creativity, results, that satisfaction of an end product and challenge of meeting goals. Most of all I’m motivated by the vision I’ve set for myself since before I started the first company
Tention Free : Did you choose this industry, as a career, or as a hobby?
Honestly business development and management started out as a hobby and manifested into a career passion over the years. Marketing was just one of those things that comes with the territory and allowed me to exercise my creative side that keeps me up at night.
Tention Free : Everybody needs time out. How do you find that work life balance?
Everyone tries so hard to find that perfect balance between work and personal life. From the time I started doing business, for me it became my life, so I enjoy it. When I’m not out working physically, I’m having fun or relaxing and working mentally, constantly finding ways to improve this, build that, by simply engaging with others or in the things I love.
