Tention Free : Let’s talk a bit about your music and what is the secret behind your success ?
If Hard work is a secret I have a lot to tell. As an independent Artist and Label owner the main thing I focus on besides innovative creativity is Attempting to be in as many places as I can at one time. Exposure is where I tend to keep my focus. If there is music being marketed and promoted in any place I ask myself “how do I get my music there”. Once I have that answer I go as hard as I can to get myself in that particular light. It also helps to have experience and a robust back story.
Tention Free : Can you please tell our readers about your single ‘ Rambo’ ?
Rambo was produced about two years ago actually. I received the beat from a prominent up and coming producer out of Atlanta known as “Chinaman”. I don’t typically enjoy rhyming over Trap beats but when going with that sound you can’t go wrong with Atlanta.. a mutual friend on social media put me onto him simply as favor. So I looked out and he threw me some beats in return. The beat was labeled “Rambo” and that’s exactly how it felt when I played it. I just felt like the soldier at war against all these fake rappers and Trappers. As I’m the original 90’s Trap house boss. These are facts. So I went at it exactly like that. “I HOLD WORK N%**@ NO FRAUD”… basically saying I’m not going to be quiet much longer about how phony alot of these social media gangsters portray themselves out here Acting like their last favorite rapper they heard. Top that off I had to bring in my engineer Cyco thah urchin to finish them off. Who’s an official OG and General in his own right from them Chicago streets. None of what we are about is a game nor is it for clout.
Tention Free : Any upcoming projects?
Well of course. Cyco and I have a Joint Project by the name of “Road Kill” which is looking like a mid fourth quarter release. We have a follow up single to “Rambo” called, “Gotta Get it”.
Tention Free : Please tell us more about your singing style ?
My Style is Very Eclectic and Unique. I work hard at finding new ways to approach the various instruments within a composition. My Style is rigorously unorthodox akin to early 20th century Jazz. I try to “scat” across the music and Insert vocals in pockets that the average rapper couldn’t catch simply because he can’t “hear” them.
Tention Free : Who are your musical inspirations?
Ghostface Killah from the Wutang Clan, Prodigy from Mobb Deep, Nas, Tragedy Khadafi, Ll Cool J, and Micheal Jackson of course. I’ve studied these guys the most and Attempt to get my story across in the way that they’ve accomplished.
Tention Free : Do you have any advice for anyone wanting to be a professional music producer ?
Sure. Work more ask for less. No one has made it anywhere without publishing content. Therein lies your market value. You’ll be working in the red alot. Build value. Devalue chasing things.
Tention Free : Have you set some goals to achieve ?
Goals are Par for the course. In the immediate my fourth quarter Goals is to (as Ceo) publish 7 more works through the fourth quarter finishing this year Strong. I’m also looking to Reach 100k streams on my own works by end of fourth quarter as an artist. For the long term The Goal is to take O.M.G Entertainment, inc. To a broader more global audience with Visual multimedia, shows, visual shorts and also get deeper into the Cable industry with our current catalog.
Tention Free : If you could perform anywhere, in the world, where would it have to be?
Dubai of course!! But I’d also love to come to Poland and Perform as this side of the world have been avid supporters since the onset of my digital presence.
Tention Free : Please share with us your proudest moments ?
It is so many in the past two years. Maybe even longer. I mean I literally started this from Zero. To 10 plays per week to 1000’s of plays per week. The fact that I receive royalties from all over the world every fortnight and have been able to reinvest not only into the company but also help other artists reach goals. It’s just so many
