Sometimes minor adjustments and improvements can change the fate of your business. The same happened to me. I would share my experience briefly here. I started a tuition center a few months back. I had decorated the building pretty well from the inside and put high-quality chairs and desks for my students. Hired well-educated staff to teach students.
When it came to advertising and putting our tuition center’s board outside the building, I got low in budget. So I asked my printer to paint out the name on a board and place it at the entrance and also got some brochures designed to distribute in nearby areas.
Everything was done according to my plan and we inaugurated silently and waited for the admissions. But the result was below my expectations. Students who joined were very satisfied with the environment of the tuition center and teaching staff. But the problem was with the new admissions. I wasn’t sure why people are not attracted to the largest tuition center in the area.
One day I stood in the front window to check the impressions of the passersby. People were crossing our building without noticing our board. It seems as if we were invisible (even though we are situated near the traffic signal so everyone had to stop for some time). That was something very annoying for me. I went outside, stood in front of the building, and noticed what I should have noticed a couple of months earlier. Our board, a classic painted board on our building, seemed too outdated. It wasn’t getting any attractions.
Without wasting time, I called the advertisers and asked them to recommend something new in outdoor advertisements. They recommended using a light box sign. Within a couple of days, an LED illuminated 3D-looking board was placed on our building.
And that change has changed the fate of our business since then. Whoever passes by notices our board and building now. Admissions are more than what we were expecting. A minor change in advertising method and following the latest trend and technology proved to be fruitful. So as per my own experience I would personally recommend you, don’t save money on advertising and outlook of your business, it can ruin all your efforts.
