Tention Free : Let’s talk a bit about your work and what is the secret behind your BLEMG success ?
Wayne Jones :
I have spent the majority of my life working in the business sector. I have worked for various companies in high capacity positions. Some of the positions I’ve held were Executive Assistant, Office Manager, Field Supervisor. Mostly support positions, but, being in these positions have given me the groundwork and foundation to begin my own business career.
In the end, I started Wayne Management Company and 6 years later started Black Lion Entertainment Music Group and this year have started Black Lion Entertainment and Sports Network and launched BLEMG Records.
Tention Free : What are you working on now?
Wayne Jones :
Currently, I am working on the promotion of Baby You Got It. I have also begun pre-production of Black Lion Entertainment Music Group’s collaboration album WE ARE HERE, which basically is a collaboration of all BLEMG and Wayne Management Company artists. I got the idea from Uptown Music former CEO, who launched Uptown Records in the same manner.
I am also overseeing the release of one of my hip hop artists’, Farrogoummo’s, newest mixtape entitled AMEICA ON DRUGS, which is scheduled for release on September 11, 2016 (that’s right,….SEPTEMBER 11).
Tention Free : Please tell our readers about debut album “Baby You Got It” by rising star Julia ?
Wayne Jones :
Julia, is a solo recording artist from Far Rockaway, Queens, NY, born and raised in Brooklyn, NY. Her music genre is Gospel, R&B, Jazz, Reggae, some Hip Hop and Opera. 
She’s been singing for well over 10 years and she is also bi-lingual. Baby You got it is a collection of songs to bring back true R&B music, not the watered-down, degrading music of today. She brings back the smooth flow and that grown and sexy feel. You have to be mature to understand the level of music she has released.
It is also noteworthy to mention, she is unlike any other R&B songstress that debuts their music,……. her spirit is what makes her special and it also masks some facts that I’m going to hold onto for a little while.
Tention Free : As a Founder and Chairman of Wayne Management Company and CEO of Black Lion Entertainment Music Group what Aims you have ?
Wayne Jones :
Basically the aim of both Wayne Management Company and Black Lion Entertainment Music Group is to be the best at what we do. Eventually the aim of BLEMG is to become a mainstream record label only working with the top quality unsigned artists. We don’t want Beyonce’s, Ushers, or any of the great singers of our time today. We are looking to create our own paths and our own destinies. This is what I love about both companies is that we are unique and that we help those that need that push to get over to the next level.

Synthia “Blak Cheri” Robinson – She is also the President of Black Lion Entertainment Music Group. She was the first artist signed by Wayne Management Company and is dubbed the “First Lady of Wayne Management Company” She released her debut single TELL ME THE TRUTH back in 2009. I promoted her to President in January 2015 after returning from a life threatening illness.

Tention Free : Do you set goals for your BLEMG and how do you do that ?
Wayne Jones :
The only goals that are set for any artist is to move to the next level of their careers. I try my best to not only represent each artist, but to educate each artist on the management and administrative side of the music business. I feel that each artist should have basic knowledge when it comes to publishing, copyrighting, promotions, marketing, etc.
Goals for the company as a whole is to surpass the other mainstream companies and be the best at what music comes from this company.

Tention Free : What motivates you to do your best work as a Owner/Chief Executive Officer ?
Wayne Jones :
My appetite and drive to succeed. The fact that I represent artists that count on me to get them to the next level, whatever that may be for them. Seeing the response from fans, listeners, peers, journalists, music reviewers is another form of motivation.
Tention Free : Do you have any advice for anyone wanting to be a professional Artist with BLEMG as a career?
Wayne Jones :
Do not take this as a job. The music industry is tough and it takes a lot of work, but as long as you love what you do, you will succeed, but the key is to love what you do. Love to be creative, love to be exciting, love to perform. Just love what you do. I love business. I have started all three of my companies with absolutely nothing, and 8 years later, being widely known and highly expected to produce quality, positive music.
