Tention Free : Tell us a little bit about yourself. Your background, education, music passion etc. ??
I’m an easy going guy. I was born and raised in Austin Texas. I played football and received a scholarship but ultimately I decided to pursue music over sports.
Tention Free : We been hearing a lot about you, so we notice your starting to gain a lot of attention how does it feel?
It feels pretty awesome to be appreciated for what you are passionate about especially when it wasn’t always like that.
Tention Free : Please tell us more about your song ” “Best Thing”” ?
“Best thing” is my 3rd single. The song is the perspective of a lover who feels as though they were overlooked and taken for granted. This record means a lot to me and another step in the direction I want to go with my music.
Tention Free : Any up coming projects or music on the way?
I will be releasing new music in late May and dropping an Ep sometime in August!
Tention Free : Who are your musical influences?
I have a diverse selection of music. I can’t think of all of them but a few includes Michael McDonald, Stevie Wonder, Curt Cobain, Bob Marley and Jimi Hendrix
Tention Free : Was there any struggles early on in your music career, and what difficulties do you find yourself facing today?
There has been many obstacles along the way. From learning the business to connecting with the right people. The industry is pretty crazy…I’ll leave it at that!
Tention Free : Do you have any advice for anyone wanting to be a professional artist ?
Yes, I would say, be passionate and resilient! Don’t take no for an answer, and always be receptive to advice. This isn’t something you should pursue if you’re not prepared for the downs. Remember its a Business!
Tention Free : Where do you see your music career in these next few years?
I see my fanbase continuing to grow and making great records for people all over the world.
Tention Free : If you could perform anywhere, in the world, where would it have to be?
If it wasn’t the Austin 360 Amphitheater or some place in Austin, I would have to say the Staples center.
Tention Free : Everybody needs time out. What do you do in your free time?
During my free time I love to check out the movies at Alamo Draft house in Austin, or maybe kick back and drink a few brews. Also, being from Austin, I love being outdoors
