We recently interviewed Henry Metal, a talented heavy metal artist.
Check out the interview :
Tention Free : What is your musical background?
My musical career began at the age of 3 when I first bellowed the lyrics to House of the Rising Sun. My mother could not believe my voice was so low at only 3. From there it was fiddle and flute, then horn and lute. I got my first electric guitar about a year ago and decided that I wanted to play the rock and roll exclusively from then on.
Tention Free : We been hearing a lot about you, so we notice your starting to gain a lot of attention how does it feel?
I am humbled by the fact that true musical connossieurs, that is, Metal Heads, seem to be enjoying my work. It is for these die hard metal fans that I live, they are like the bees who polinate my very flower. So to speak.
Tention Free : Please tell us more about your latest single ” Henry’s Saga”?
Henry’s Saga is a tale of old sung about a man, myself, who crafts simple tunes for the benefit of all sentient beings. In it I urge us all to take the proverbial sword from the stone, and eat the proverbial meat from the bone. That is, to live life to the very fullest and to enjoy metal tunes while you are doing so.
Tention Free : What motivates you to do your best work as a heavy metal artist?
It is the arpeggio, king of guitar licks, that puts a spring in my step and motivates me to musical heights. Arpeggios were first introduced to the planet via Yngwie Malmsteen and ever since they have pushed Metal Heads ever onward toward soaring vistas of sweet awesomeness. They are the kung fu of guitar.
Tention Free : Who are your musical inspirations?
My inspirations range anywhere from Metallica to Slayer and everywhere in between, including Maiden, ‘deth, ‘thrax, Ghost, Avenged Sevenfold and Wilson Phillips. I can find inspiration in many forms of music.
Tention Free : Do you have any advice for anyone wanting to be a professional heavy metal artist ?
The best advice I can give is to practice your chops day and night, in your sleep and even in the bathroom. You must live and breath Metal in order to one day create at our highest level. Do not expect personal gain or victories, only dedicate yourself night and day to the craft. We must knock long and hard on the doors to the kingdom of Metal before those doors are open to us.
Tention Free : What are your future plans ? Your vision for the coming years.
I envision myself deep within my lair making tunes day and night with my Apprentice Mages. I also expect that the tunes will break records for heaviness and rock steadiness as years go by.
Tention Free : If you could perform anywhere, in the world, where would it have to be?
It would be Wriggley Field in Chicago for it is here that true legends are born.
Tention Free : Everybody needs time out. What do you do in your free time?
When I am not in Metal mode I am in deep hybernation, like a bear in the deep Alaskan night. In other words, I do not ever do anything except for Metal. Ever.
Tention Free : Are you active on social media? what’s the best way to follow you ?
The best way is to follow our Youtube Channel and find us on Itunes, Spotify or purchase the tunes from links found on www.henrymetal.net. I hope to see you there!
