Tention Free: Tell us a little bit about yourself. Your background, education, your passion etc. ??
I started working with my dad at the age of 4 which eventually began a wide variety of business and philanthropic ventures for me. I’ve had early success with my ventures in farming, construction and real estate and that allowed me to complete college at the Rhema campus in Broken Arrow, OK, while simultaneously growing my business knowledge and acumen.
When it comes to my passion… First, I want to be the best father for my two sons and second, to promote hearing conservation awareness the best way I can. I think of Big Ear, not only as a company, but as an extension of my passion to help people prevent similar problems.
Tention Free: We been hearing a lot about you, so we notice your starting to gain a lot of attention how does it feel?
Well, it really feels great to gain a lot of attention lately and to have a wider reach to spread the word about hearing conservation. We have been spending time growing our presence by using Face book, YouTube, Instagram and Twitter and it’s great to see progress. Social media and the internet, in general, makes a lot of difference nowadays and I just want to continue what I’ve been doing.
Tention Free: Any upcoming project?
This year we plan on going to major motorcycle shows and other conventions across North America and Europe. We’ve just been in Calgary, Edmonton, Mississauga, Toronto and Vancouver last month and we’re going to continue presenting our products in conventions all year long.
Tention Free: What has been one of the most exciting achievements of your career so far?
I believe having a business that I truly care about and being able to grow it and improve it with my family is the most exciting achievement for me. I work along side my wife and sons on a regular basis and that really brings joy to me.
Tention Free: What’s your goal in life you want to achieve next?
I want to continue sharing hearing conservation awareness and to continue growing as a person. Overall, as a company, we are guided by the Kaizen belief: improvement every single day.
Tention Free: What motivates you to do your best work ?
There are three things that motivates me everyday. First, I want to improve myself and be the best I can be. Second, I want to help make things better for the human race even just through hearing conservation awareness. And lastly, I’m motivated by my family.
Tention Free: Did you choose this industry, as a career, or as a hobby?
I chose this industry as a career and it’s just a great situation for me because I’m also really passionate about hearing conservation awareness. That made it perfect for me. So far everything’s going great for me.
Tention Free: Everybody needs time out. What do you do in your free time?
I am a keen observer of people, events and surroundings, so I really love traveling. I particularly enjoy going on a cruise because it gives me a lot of time to read, think and plan. I’m also a scuba dive master, pilot, author and inventor, that’s how I spend most of my free time.
