We recently interviewed with talented & intelligent Shantanu Sinha, Vice President Operations at TingTongs. Tention Free : Hi Shantanu Sinha, it’s always great to catch up with you and see what exciting projects you have coming up. Let’s talk a bit about your work and what is the scret behind your success?
Shantanu Sinha : Well first of all thanks for getting us featured on your blog. It’s
a matter of great honour for me and for the entire company as well. As for as I am concern, I look after the entire Technical, Development, Product Enhancement and Services of the company as a Vice President – Operations. My duties which I have mentioned above are not limited to it. We have a very open environment at #tingtongs and we give weightage to Ideas and not the Designation. Anyone with creative and fresh thoughts for the solutions on which we are working gets a fair chance of employee enhancement. There is absolutely no discrimination which is carried on. The entire team possess a very high potential in their respective fields and are very passionate about their job. The best part is no body works here as an employee, they work here as the owner of the organization and I am sure this is going to stand us apart in the crowd.
Well to talk about our success, it would be too early to describe it or analyze it as we are still in the pre- development state. On the other hand we have been already featured in International Media and we have more than 20,000 Twitter followers and the fan volume on facebook it increasing day by day. Of course we take this as a part of our success.
Tention Free : How did you get started this work?
Shantanu Sinha : Well to be honest enough as I am not the owner or the co-founder so really cant comment on that, but of course I can give u a glimpse . The project was actually an idea of Mr.Gursharan Singh (Chairman-Tingtongs) & Mr. Ashish (CEO). #tingtongs is their baby. They started of this project with a simple goal of making communication much more easier and flexible for all the section of the society irrespective of their social status. Creating an application which has all the daily amenities like Bill payments, Travel bookings, cell phone recharge and many more. The entire team is really working hard to make this dream a reality.
Tention Free : Please tell us our readers some details about launch of your upcoming android app ?
Shantanu Sinha : Of course we would like to share the details with your readers. As the Development is still in Phase 3 , so the launch date is yet to be finalized. But one thing we can let everybody know , we are coming with a BASH .
Tention Free : What are you working on now?
Shantanu Sinha : Right Now we are working on the functionality of the application which consists of UI, feature implementation , Bug Testing, Decreasing the Network Dependability so that the application can still run smoothly in low network areas, Number verification System and many more smallest things you can imagine.
Tention Free : Tell us about your App ?
Shantanu Sinha : #tingtongs is going to be the first Chat application in the world which will have a single handed platform for majority of the daily online needs of our users. We are not competing with anybody we are working on our own model. As per today a chat app is basically focussed on just communicating with each other. We are working on a App which will cater all your needs and you don’t have to exit the application for most of the online activities. We are tieing up with many API providers so that our users will be able to use the same platform, complete all their basic online requirement without even exiting the application.
The first phase of the application would be a simple with normal chatting features and would be only available to the Android Users. As it has been estimated during our survey that majority of the cell phone users are Android users. The actual frame of the application and the actual feature revelation would be made with the launch of second versions as we are trying to implement every possible feature right in the second version.
After analyzing the outcome of the launch and after seeing the reaction we get we will introduce the App for IOS , Blackberry & Windows users.
Tention Free : What motivates you to do your best work?
Shantanu Sinha : In my opinion when you are very much involve in your work you have no time to figure out that what your motivation is . But still as we all know that there is no job or work in the world which is done without a motivation and in this case the unconditional support from my team and top management and also my family support can be categorized as my one and only motivation. I have a simple believe nothing can be achieved in this world without hard work and utmost dedication and if you have either one of it , then there is no looking back.
Tention Free : What are your plans & hopes for the future ?
Shantanu Sinha : We are planning to hit minimum 5 Lac users in the first 3 months and crossing the count of 1Million by the end of the year.
