Troy Gathers is a PhD student and entrepreneur who has successfully marketed and sold his products globally. As a youth, Gathers attended 8 different grade schools and dealt with the obstacles of constantly moving and being the new kid on the block. Over the course of his teen years he encountered every type of friend and peer pressure imaginable. As time progressed Troy became unaffected by the distractions and focused solely on education and making the grades to excel. Currently, Gathers travels to churches, schools and prisons providing words of encouragement to those who may share in a similar situation. He is the Author of Take Me With You: Daily Inspiration (Volume 1). Take Me With You is not your average book of quotes. This original collection of quotes was composed to be thought provoking and bring change in your life.

I hope all is well with you all. My name is Troy Gathers and I’m an Entrepreneur and American Author. My background is in Philosophy and I am from Charleston, South Carolina. I’ve been in business for 10 years and I decided to enter the literary world now because the insight that I have needs to be shared with the world. My first book is entitled Take me With You. After this interview I hope that I’m welcomed on each and every one of your roads to success.
Tention Free: What is one of your favorite positive sayings or quotes?
Troy Gathers :
One of my favorite quotes is actually one by Les brown. Mr. Brown says, “If your going to fall, try to fall on your back because if you can look up you can get up.” I believe that quote should be curved in stone somewhere.
Tention Free: Who or What inspired you to start writing this book?
Troy Gathers :
Take Me With You is inspired by the past 10 years of my life. Through all the lessons and experiences that I encountered, all contribute to take Me With You. I believe in my heart of hearts that people can use this book as a blueprint to success.

Troy Gathers :
Friends, Family and Faith. Oddly, these are the three chapters of the book. I used three chapters because the book is composed of quotes and life lessons. The book is broken down quarterly on a calendar scale and the chapters speak volumes.

Troy Gathers :
Honestly, I don’t have any particular audience. I’m a PhD student so my knowledge base is broad and not specific to any one genre. The content is human and I believe that everyone can take something from the book.

Take Me With you is a book of over 700 original quotes that I composed over the past 10 years. As I stated, there are three chapters; Friends, Family and Faith. There are 2 quotes per day on a 365 day scale. The reader can read the book in its entirety or in one calendar year. It’s all up to the reader.

Actually, I don’t have a favorite chapter. I love the book as a collective. I believe that the reader would say the same. This book is just stuffed with information.
